Since I was diagnosed with rosacea and acne, I lost confidence because I did not want anyone to see my face and makeup would make my condition worse. During the first few months of having rosacea I did not go out much, I used to joke and say I looked like a monster, sorta not joking though. I had a really hard time accepting that I could not fix or even control my face. SO how did I regain my confidence? Well, when you don’t look good, you don’t feel good. So I had to find the parts of me to accentuate.
What did I accentuate?
My eyes: I love my eyes, they change color from hazel to blue. I have always thought that they were my best feature. So when my face is a being uncooperative, I make sure I wear mascara.
I wear minimum makeup, just mascara, sometimes a colored lip gloss, and foundation or powder. Mascara is most important though… 💋
Always accentuate the parts of yourself that you know how are comfortable with and like! ( This is just my opinion!)
My body: I have not always been comfortable with my body but I work out 5-6 days a week. Its important to me to achieve my ideal body, dress well and dress what I feel confident in.
And if all else fails … my large Rayban sunglasses make me feel better, because they cover a part of my face.
I personally focus on my eyes but I suggest focusing on the part of you, you love the most of all…. and everyone has their favorite feature about themselves.
Lastly, don’t be too hard on yourself we are all beautiful and we do not always have control over what happens to us, and even if you don’t feel your best one day… tomorrow will be a better day…. 🖤
