This is a snack that my mother introduced me to and it satisfies my sweet tooth. This is a almond butter and jelly sandwich, that is grilled! I use almond butter because I do not like peanut butter, so this is a great alternative. Its ooey and gooey, and the best snack. So how do we achieve this ? Its super easy !
1 tablespoon organic almond butter
1 tablespoon organic raspberry preserves ( You can use any flavor or preserves you want)
2 slices of sprouted flourless whole wheat berry bread ( You can use any bread you want, this is just the only bread I use)
Earth balance organic buttery spread
Take two slices of bread and butter one side, place the first slice of bread butter side down in the pan. Take the almond butter and preserves and spread evenly on the bread. Place the other slice of bread on top, unbuttered side face down. Turn the pan on a low to medium heat and flip after two minutes. Continue cooking for two more minutes and remove from pan and enjoy!
